After a visual timeline setting out the development and evolution of food colouring technology, the site is structured around 3 main thrusts of significant world change that were sparked off from the development of artificial food colouring: (1) the commercialisation of food; (2) the enjoyment of food as an aesthetic experience; and (3) the health concerns surrounding this technology and the ensuing regulatory responses.
